Laugh&Learn Playschool’s teaching program prepares children socially and academically. We aim to support and encourage the development of independence, responsibility and confidence, all of which are essential for your child’s ongoing success.
Our teaching program focuses on each child’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development by offering concrete, hands-on activities for the child to explore.
The playschool, as well as preschool, is officially licensed by Helsinki City. We follow the early childhood guidelines and curriculum set up by Helsinki City and the Finnish government.
The L&L teaching program is designed to actively engage each child in developmentally age-appropriate activities. Our qualified and experienced teachers prepare activities that are exciting and challenging, as well as supportive of each child’s own learning style.
L&L has 400m² of colorful space on 3 floors for children to learn and play in. Each group has their own large room, as well as shared spaces including an art room, library, blocks areas, our monthly changing theme area, cafeteria, and more.
The playschool classroom arrangement creates the optimum learning environment. It allows children easy access to educational toys, materials and books, enabling them to initiate and expand their activities.

We love to celebrate both Finnish and international festivities—everything from Halloween to May Day to Chinese New Year. We like to include and learn from the new holidays that children of different nationalities, or whose families have lived in different countries, bring to us!

AGE GROUPS
Laugh&Learn Playschool is divided into four groups:
2 and 3 year olds: Brilliant Bunnies
4 year olds: Playful Penguins
5 year olds: Happy Hippos
6 year olds: Laughing Lions
Each group follows an age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities tailored to individual and group development needs and interests.
DAILY PROGRAM
The daily program includes:
— Morning Circle
— Morning and afternoon teaching activities
— Group story and independent quiet reading time
— Nap time for 2–4 year olds
— Healthy and nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack
— Finnish language lessons for 6-year-old pre-schoolers
— Twice-daily outside playtime, in all seasons and almost all weathering in our own yard and at local parks and forests
— Weekly and monthly changing themes
